At Doing Life Today, our goal is simple
At Doing Life Today, our goal is simple: to provide practical, honest, and supportive information for people living with Parkinson's.
This site was created by someone who is living with Parkinson's every day. The resources, guides, and conversations shared here are designed to help others navigate the realities of the condition with more clarity, confidence, and connection.
Our Approach to Content
The content on this website is created to help people understand Parkinson's, explore treatment options, and learn practical strategies for living well with the disease.
Articles are written using a combination of:
- Personal experience living with Parkinson's
- Conversations with people in the Parkinson's community
- Information from reputable medical and research sources
- Insights gathered through interviews, podcasts, and community discussions
Whenever possible, we aim to present information in clear language that is easy to understand.
Lived Experience Matters
Doing Life Today is built on lived experience.
Bryce Perry, the founder of Doing Life Today, was diagnosed with Parkinson's at age 40. His experience living with the disease shapes much of the perspective shared throughout this site.
While many medical websites are written strictly from a clinical viewpoint, Doing Life Today combines medical knowledge with real-world experience. The goal is to help people understand not only the science of Parkinson's, but also the day-to-day reality of living with it.
Accuracy and Responsibility
We work to ensure that the information shared on this site reflects current understanding of Parkinson's disease. However, Parkinson's research continues to evolve and treatments change over time.
Content may be updated periodically as new information becomes available.
Not Medical Advice
The information on this website is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
It should not be considered medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.
Always consult with your neurologist, physician, or qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about medications, treatments, or lifestyle changes.
Community Perspective
One of the strengths of Doing Life Today is the community itself. Many insights shared through articles, videos, and podcasts come from the experiences of people living with Parkinson's and their care partners.
These perspectives can be incredibly valuable, but they represent individual experiences and may not apply to everyone.
Our Mission
Doing Life Today exists to help people with Parkinson's take back their lives.
Through education, community, and honest conversations, our goal is to help people move forward with confidence and continue living meaningful lives despite the challenges Parkinson's may bring.
