APDA National Resource Center for Rehabilitation Helping people who have Parkinson’s disease (PD) access information on exercise recommendations, the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) and Boston University have established the country’s first National Resource Center for Rehabilitation. The center’s toll-free helpline telephone number is 888-606-1688, or the center may be reached via email at rehab@bu.edu. Anyone contacting the center will be put in touch with a licensed physical therapist who can answer questions about exercise and provide information about programs in the individual’s area. Center staff have developed educational materials for individuals, family members, and health care professionals.
