What an incredible day for the PD community in Iowa! This year’s APDA Iowa Optimism Walk brought together families, friends, care partners, and supporters for a day filled with hope, laughter, and connection. The energy was contagious, and the smiles and spirit of resilience made the event truly unforgettable.A Record-Breaking ImpactThanks to the dedication of our walkers, teams, donors, and sponsors, we have already raised $155,000 (and counting!) to support the Parkinson’s community in Iowa. This is a HUGE accomplishment and every dollar raised will make a direct difference. Funds from the Optimism Walk allow APDA Iowa to continue offering Parkinson’s programs and services at no cost! These include: Exercise classes designed to help people with Parkinson’s stay strong and mobile Support groups that connect families and care partners Education and resources that empower individuals to live well with Parkinson’s A Community of Strength and OptimismThe Optimism Wall, heartfelt team tributes, and joyful celebration throughout the day were reminders of the power of coming together. Each step taken and each dollar raised helps build a brighter future for people living with Parkinson’s disease across Iowa. Thank You for Walking with Us!
