Overview Support groups are at no cost to you and are open to people with Parkinson’s disease (PWP), including their spouses, family members and care partners. Each group is run differently. It is suggested you reach out to the contact before attending a group. We are working tirelessly to develop Support Groups in every area of the state, if you do not see one available in your county call (954) 952-0429 for more information on available resources. 4th Thursday of the month at 2PM EST APDA Florida looks forward to connecting with our unique community of Parkinson’s Care Partners. In the PD world we call them Care Partners and not Care Givers as the patient must buy in to treatment and managing symptoms, medication, and movement alongside their support system. Taking care of yourself is as important as caring for your loved one with PD. It is crucial to find support for yourself as a Care Partner so that you care for yourself while caring for your loved one. The following groups are not APDA-affiliated.
